Terms of Service

Last updated October 28, 2026

The short version: read and learn freely, pay for what you use, cancel anytime, and don’t redistribute members-only content.

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and TheRuntimeTheory. By using the website or creating an account you accept them. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you accept them for that organization.

2. Accounts

You need an account for bookmarks, progress tracking and memberships. Keep access to your email address secure — anyone who can read it can sign in. You must be at least 16 years old. Tell us promptly at theruntimetheory@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Memberships and billing

  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) until you cancel. The price and period are shown before you pay.
  • Cancel anytime from the billing portal on your account page. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period already paid for.
  • Lifetime access is a one-time payment for continued access to members-only content for as long as we operate the service.
  • Price changes apply to future billing periods only, and we will email you at least 30 days before a price change affects your subscription.
  • Taxes such as VAT or sales tax may be added where required.
  • Failed payments: if a renewal payment fails we retry it for a limited period; access ends if it cannot be collected.

Payments are processed by Stripe and subject to Stripe’s terms. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy (14 days).

4. Your license to the content

All articles, traces, diagrams, videos and other materials are owned by TheRuntimeTheory or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to read and use them for your own learning, including quoting short excerpts with attribution. You may use code snippets in your own projects.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • share your account, or redistribute or republish members-only content;
  • scrape or bulk-download the site, or use it to train or build a competing dataset;
  • circumvent rate limits, paywalls or other security measures;
  • interfere with the service or other people’s use of it, or use it for anything unlawful.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available and the content accurate, but we may change, add or remove content and features. Material changes that reduce what a paid plan includes entitle you to cancel and receive a pro-rated refund for the unused period.

7. Disclaimers

The content is educational. It is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Verify anything important — especially security and production advice — before relying on it.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, TheRuntimeTheory is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. Ending this agreement

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms; if we close your account without cause, we will refund any unused portion of a subscription.

10. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the operator is established, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections where you live. We may update these terms; we will post the new date above and email account holders about material changes before they apply.
