Modern C++ Boundaries and Tooling
Extend expert C++ into coroutines, modules and production-grade analysis without losing explicit ownership or build contracts.
The final module covers three boundaries that large modern C++ systems must make explicit: where a coroutine stores suspended state, where a module exports an interface, and where tools enforce correctness beyond ordinary tests. These lessons complement the track's existing performance and ABI work rather than replacing it.
- 1Coroutines: Suspending Work Without Blocking a ThreadPro — members onlyRead a coroutine frame, distinguish suspend from a new thread, and use co_await to structure asynchronous pipelines.12 min
- 2Modules: Compiled Interfaces Beyond Header InclusionPro — members onlyDefine an exported C++ module interface, separate public API from implementation, and understand what modules do and do not solve.10 min
- 3Production Tooling: Sanitizers, Fuzzing and Static AnalysisPro — members onlyCombine dynamic instrumentation, generated inputs and compile-time analysis to find defects that ordinary tests miss.11 min
- 4Shipping C++: Packages, Tests and Reproducible BuildsPro — members onlyTurn a C++ library into a verifiable artifact with install rules, exported targets, tests and a build that can be recreated elsewhere.11 min
